| About Me |
|---|
When you first meet me, I'll likely seem rather quiet and perhaps remote. Yet, after a time, I'll open up and let my hair down (literally, as it's getting quite long and I tend to have it tied up while working). I've always been rather independent, but I do enjoy the company of my close friends and will do anything for them. I love to travel, having been to 42 states and 9 other countries. Languages also interest me greatly, as I'm quite good with German and can get by with Portuguese and Spanish.
I work as a restaurant server, but will be likely going back to school sometime next year for an MA in political science.
Feel free to message me...

I'm always looking for new friends. If you are intelligent and have an appreciation for adventure in life, but can also be realistic and pragmatic when the time is right, then we may work well together. If you love to travel, extra points for you!
I think a lot of guys are intimidated by either my height or my personality, but I'm really quite approachable. Send a message and I'll likely reply.

You know those people that just randomly end up in your life and end up totally changing it? That's James; at least for me. We were together for a year, and he's still, easily, my best friend. And yet I'm here endorsing him, that should tell you how decent of a guy he is right there.
James can seem imposing; at 6'8" that's all but obvious, but if you get to know him, if he lets down that shy façade, you'll find a genuinely inquisitive guy who really does want to do what he can for the betterment of those around him. For James, that means politics: get involved or at least stay informed, and do what you can for what you believe in. He does, and he has a passion for it.
I've never met someone with such a passion for discussion, and it can be on just about anything. Get him started on an interested topic (everything from Libertarians to Portugal, and back again) and you'll be set for the evening. He's well traveled (I should know, we toured Europe together), speaks both German and a fair amount of Portuguese, and is always looking for that next challenge.
Anyone going after James should know, he's driven; when he knows what he wants, he'll do anything to get it. At the same time, he's one of the few genuinely good people I've ever met. He's more logical than emotional but, sometimes, that's exactly what one needs; James will be more than willing to lend an ear, if only to kick you in the pants with the advice you needed, yet didn't want to hear. That being said; I've met few people as dedicated to their friends than James. He really will do anything for the people he cares about, and anyone would be lucky, fiercely lucky, to have him.

James and I can easily talk for not less than 4 hours at a time on a myriad of topics. He might be "conservative" (NOT neo-conservative, mind you...James is a traditional conservative, like our good friend Ron Paul) but when he lets down his hair he's a ton of fun. Seriously.
If you end up being lucky enough to meet James, keep in mind he can be a bit shy at first; however, once you get to know him he's extremely interesting and friendly. He and I hang out all the time and it always brightens my day to spend time with him.
He's also incredibly thoughtful and reliable. I've rarely met anyone quite as reliable, actually! He absolutely always calls or messages back. Always. Plus he's an entrepreneur! Oh and he's like never ever ever late to anything...it's amazing. Extremely punctual.
Oh and he's a great cook too...really...he did it for a living for a while and it shows.
All around a great guy. Seriously. And quite handsome too.
