I was born in Norway and immigrated to the US when I was 4. After an upbringing on the east coast (Long Island), I moved to Indianapolis where I have lived for more than 20 years.
In my 20's I met and fell in love with a man with whom I spent almost 20 years. Four years ago we mutually ended our relationship but we are still good friends.
I am conscious of growing personally, emotional, spiritually, and physically. I am very dedicated to my profession, which involves working with children. I'm equally dedicated to my friends.
I do enjoy being active, which makes me feel better physically and mentally. I workout, yoga, ride my bike, run, and just enjoy mixing it up. When I was younger I skied and would like to try it again---downhill and crosscountry. I love the mountains as well as the shore. There are many more things I would like to experience like snorkeling, hiking, and water skiing.
I am very health conscious, but I drink socially and don't smoke except for maybe a rare cigar with a very special good friend.
I do enjoy traveling. I always enjoy being back in Norway. Last year I hiked the Scottish Highlands and loved it, especially the Isle of Skyye. This past summer I traveled to Vancouver, BC. It's a beautiful spot with fun people.

I'm attracted to honesty, humor, and emotional maturity. I hope to meet someone who values their own personal spiritual growth. Brains and the ability to carry on intelligent conversation are a big turn on. Sharp wit and sense of humor are important as there is nothing I like to do more than laugh out loud. I can hold my own with big, outgoing personalities (as long as the spirit beneath all that energy is positive and loving).
