| About Me |
|---|
|
I'm an introvert, until you get to know me. I can have a hard edged exterior, but once you earn my trust, I'm pretty warm. I would rather focus on a few good friends than a zillion acquaintances. I have a nesting instinct. A comfortable place to call home is important to me. One of my fantasies: to spend a summer cruising around in a Vanagan with a special someone (mountain bikes and surf boards attached to the roof). I take life one day at a time. Karma is a fact of life- if we all believe in it, the world would be a much better place. I like the convenience of my hometown, Aspen, where you can bike or walk everywhere. Or I prefer to be in a vibrant city like Manhattan. One extreme or the other- suburbia sucks! NPR News and Democracy Now radio both kick ass. I love cats and dogs even though I have no pets of my own. Biggest Turn-Ons: Bellybuttons, fuzzy eyebrows (i.e. Colin Ferrel), tattoos, spontaneity,, rollercoasters, full-body massage, snowboarding on a powder day, luxury king size beds, body surfing in the tropics, dinner parties with good company, Sounds Eclectic Radio Show (KCRW-LA), short films, sunny days, rainy days, camping on a secluded beach, fall colors. Biggest Turn-Offs: Commercial sprawl, fast food, strip malls, religious zealots, sex with drugged-up guys, men who have intimacy issues, Fox News, headless torsos on this website.

A lead climber to rock climb with would be fantastic. I rarely get to go.
Similar political views are crucial but I could care less about religion. I want to meet: Guys who are prone to laughter, who are free of defense mechanisms and manipulative tactics, who are direct and assertive, who are confident in their sexuality, who dare to take a chance, who have a lust for life, who have a good heart, who can be comfortable with silence and don't need to run their mouths constantly, who understand how important it is to communicate even when it is about unpleasant stuff, who know when to compromise and when not to, who are mature enough to understand that relationships are a lot of work, who see the big picture, who don't feel the need to change me.

It is a privilege to know Doug. He is one of my best friends and I love the man. We have been through a lot together. Learning and growing. He did me a huge favor on Sept. 7 and I will never forget how sweet he was. Thank you, Doug, for listening when you did not have to.
