I am unique! Just like everybody else.
The 411: I'm originally from the French Alps; I live in San Jose's Willow Glen neighborhood; I work in Palo Alto at Stanford University; I'm a software engineer and an open source contributor; I'm a foodie and an avid skier.
My personality is intense and feisty. Between hanging out with friends, game nights, movie nights, finding new restaurants around town, cooking dinner for friends, a wine tasting group, throwing cocktail parties, the occasional boozing and clubbing, the ski and snowboard season, visiting museums, traveling, working hard, going to conferences, the San Francisco opera season, the Calperformances season, the Stern Grove season, and plotting all kinds of shenanigans, there is rarely a dull moment with me.
I am a man of contradiction. I am adventurous but risk-averse, bold but guarded, sociable but independent, creative but rational, prudent but decisive, extroverted but introspective, organized but untidy, geeky but well-rounded, a little high on self-confidence but a little low on self-esteem, driven by competitiveness but obsessed with fairness, at ease in the boisterousness of bars and restaurants but at peace in the sanctuary of museums and libraries. I am a gentleman but a bad boy, an activist but a pacifist, a perfectionist but a procrastinator, a chatter box but a good listener, a liberal but a conventionalist, a provocateur but a diplomat, a connoisseur of fine foods but an addict of cheap candy, a defender of decorum and propriety but an agent of irreverence and satire.
Good news: I am more complex than I sound here. Bad news: I am more complex than I sound here.
