What do I do if someone is using my pictures?
Except in the unlikely case that one of the Connexion staff actually knows you from a
face to face meeting, we start an investigation into who is the proper owner of the pictures.
If you are a member, the easiest way to validate your photo is to get certified.
Then, go to the fake's profile and click on the Report Member link. There will be an option to report the fake.
If you are not a Connexion member or if for some reason you can't get certified (a member of the military should not, for example),
you should email a photo of you holding a hand written sign
that says "Hi, guys!" (or something similar) to
.
Once the proper owner of the pictures is established, they will be deleted from the
offending account.
What do I do if someone is impersonating me?
The investigation for impersonation is much like the investigation for the improper use
of pictures. However, at the end of the process, the account of the offender is
permanently deleted and they are barred from rejoining with that email address.
What do I do if someone is using someone else's picture?
If it's a picture of a movie star, porn star or something like that, just go to the Report Member link
of their profile and let us know and remove them.
I mean, really, Tom Cruise and Liz Taylor are probably not going to have a profile on
Connexion.
[Though there are porn stars that do.]
If it's anyone else (and they're not a member), send them a link to the profile and have them send us that link
along with a photo of themself holding a hand written sign
that says "I'm the real McCoy" (or something similar) to:
.
Members can always use the Report Member link to let us know about the fake.
