Menu Bars
There are two menu bars on Connexion. The top one is the one that say
"HOME, PROFILE, FRIENDS, SEARCH, MESSAGES, CHAT..." All
of those are links to different sections. We'll cover a couple of
good ones to start with. The left-hand menu changes depending on
which section of the site you are in.
HOME
The HOME will take you back to where you start when you log on. From
there you can see the recent news articles, the latest new members,
links to your friends, etc.
SEARCH
The SEARCH page allows you to search for people using different
parameters. When you are on the search page, notice that the
left-hand menu changes to give you different search options. For
example by age/location, by interests, by name/email, etc.
MESSAGES
The MESSAGES section is where you can read messages people sent you,
as well as the messages you've sent others. Notice the left-hand menu
changes again. This is similar to many email programs with an in box,
a sent box, deleted messages, etc. When you have a new message, the
arrow on the MESSAGES link will change color to red.
CHAT
The CHAT section is how you would enter the chat rooms. It's also
where you can see who's online at any particular time. You can use
the drop-down menus in the who's online area to change who you see
(i.e. by location, gender, etc). You can also use the left-hand menu
to see which of your friends are online.
How do I send someone a message?
Go to their profile, if they are your friend go here,
and underneath their main photo you will have an option to Send Message.
How do I add a friend?
Go to their profile, and underneath their main photo you will have an option to
Add as Friend. Depending on what that Privacy settings are,
you might be required to enter their last name.
