Lately, I've been absolutely gaga for Lady Gaga. Her music has been all that I've been listening to for the past couple of days- doing early morning custodial, procrastinating doing homework (having a private dance party), driving in my van named Rhonda, etc (I can hardly wait for the 23rd, when I can download her 8 new songs). Having said that, I feel guilty for liking her song LoveGame. I think the instrumentation is great, the beat is sick, but the lyrics, a little too overt in a sexual sense- "You've indicated your interest, I'm educated in sex yes, and now I want it bad." Ok, maybe not as overt in comparison to other songs out there and no I don't typically prefer more subtle sexual lyrics. Sorry, I just don't usually feel at perfect ease listening to it, hence why I call it a guilty pleasure.
Oh thank goodness for this...I am so sick of hearing that Alicia Keys/Jay Z 'Lets Hear It for New York' song. Every time I turn on my radio, it's on. New York, I love ya. You so rock. But where's my L.A. anthem at, m'kay?? xoxo In the meantime, some fresh Alicia Keys...
