Connexion, started in 2003 by Tim Gill, founder of Quark, Inc. and the Gill Foundation. It is a social network with a twist. It not only allows you to meet new people and explore the connections among your friends, but it also allows you to be informed (in a non-obtrusive manner) about that most important of American institutions: Voting.

Connexion contains a full range of searching and messaging systems. It is the place to meet people.
